Leicester Caribbean Carnival 2024 welcomes everyone to Victoria Park, Leicester, on the 3rd August. Their theme for this year is “Freedom for All”. The Carnival village will be open from 10am and activities begin with the official Opening Ceremony at De Montfort Hall on the Granville Road entrance at 12 noon.

On 17 & 18 August 2024, in association with Leicester City Council, Leicester Mela are inviting the whole of the UK to experience a glittering mix of live music, dance, food, fashion arts and culture at the Leicester Mela Festival. Indulge in delicious Indian cuisine from across the Indian subcontinent and shop till you drop in our famous Mela Bazaar. Enjoy a whole host of free South Asian arts and cultural activities throughout the city centre and experience electrifying live entertainment on the main stage. Join Leicester Mela, along with a few celebrity guests, for a free, fun-filled day out for the whole family! Supported by Leicester City Council.

Set to be the biggest food event of the year, the Leicester Food Festival will be making its debut this August, in Abbey Park on the 10th & 11th, creating a paradise for food and drink lovers.

With a diverse range of cuisines from local traders and beyond, including street food vendors, bars, local brewers, cocktails, and array of sweet treats. In addition, enjoy live local music, entertainment, workshops, tastings, talks, children’s cooking classes, a circus school and other fun activities for all the family.
