The City of Leicester College is committed to providing high quality Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance to help inspire our students and prepare them for the future. Our Careers provision and programme is created to meet the eight benchmarks identified by the Gatsby Foundation.
We have a Careers leader and Careers officer in school who plan our provision and ensure we are meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks, however it is also the responsibility of all staff in schools and Colleges to incorporate Careers into the Curriculum. Ways to incorporate Careers into your Curriculum
- Have a prominent Careers display board for your subject area
- Speak to the Careers team about having guest speakers in
- Get involved with whole school events such as National Careers week and use the resources available
- Share videos with students, such as those linked above
- Speak to the Careers team in school for guidance on how to further enhance the Careers provision being offered within your subject area
